The temperament of every guy on the job was the main point of difference to past experiences with moving firms. They were lightning fast, energetic and nothing was too much trouble. The quote was reasonable from the start, in stark difference to other local firms who started high, then called me repeatedly lowering their rate. I don't often post reviews but really want to recommend this crew — truly hard working, decent people.

The most transparent and fair pricing, and the most care I've ever seen taken with packing. These guys are truly the best in the area.
I booked a residential move with them, and it went as smoothly as I could have hoped. The cost was about 50% cheaper than [a local competitor]. Up Down Movers doesn't charge hidden fees for anything — insurance is even included. In contrast, I've been charged $150 just for insurance elsewhere, plus an extra $100 for "travel and gas" on a move that was only 10 minutes away, and over $200/hour during their lunch break. I've also had to spend months negotiating with other companies just to reach a fair final price.
Kalen and his team at Up Down Moving finally gave me a moving experience I'd actually be willing to repeat. After moving five times in Greater Vancouver, I've dealt with all kinds of issues — hidden fees, broken furniture, and questionable insurance policies became something I expected. I've never used the same company twice before.
When Kalen gave me the final bill, I was honestly surprised — in a good way. After all my past experiences of having to argue bills down, Up Down Movers charged a fair price from the start, and their work more than matched it.
They wrapped nearly everything in blankets and even built custom supports for items like curved monitors and expensive electronics. The pricing was reasonable, and the entire process was hassle free on my end.
This was a genuinely great experience and easily stands out from all my previous moves. You really don't want to deal with the aftermath of a bad moving company.
